Anyone think this is a good idea?
Something like a mode where it's in sideways mode like the ship and UFO, then right side is a normal jump and hold mechanism then left tap makes gravity heavy, and you fall down faster. Good idea or just stupid?

Depends: When you say jump, do you refer to jump like the normal GD gamemode (cube) or jump like a UFO? What do you mean by "hold mechanism" then tap left? Isn't it easier to hold left? Is the gravity switch temporary (as you hold) or definitive until you trigger again?
Another variation of this idea could be a "ball" constantly bouncing and when you hold it plummets and falls faster.

I would actually like it so that if you tap left it makes you fall slower, like a glider/parachute thing.

Then you tap the other side to fall down, like the proposed gray (I think) orb in ta's old days. And you could change the settings to switch controls between sides.
